The Peace Hospice cares for people living with a life limiting or terminal illness

Following the success of Will Fortnight last year, we will be running this event again in October when a selection of local solicitor firms will be waving their usual fee for writing standard single or mirror Wills in return for a donation by the client to the Peace Hospice. Last year 46 Wills were written during the fortnight and over £4,200 was given in donations. Details of the participating solicitors will be on this page from early September, but for those of you who would like to get your Will written before October you might like a copy of our "Will Providers List". This is a list of selected companies who are offering discounted Wills to Peace Hospice supporters. For a copy of the list, or for information on any aspect of planning or writing your Will please contact the Peace Hospice's Legacy Manager by email legacies@peacehospice.org.uk. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence.	Making a Will, and keeping it updated, is really important. So, if you’ve not yet written your Will, or need to update an existing one, why not take advantage of our special Will Fortnight – when you can get your Will professionally written and help the Peace Hospice at the same time. Making a Will ensures that your family, friends and causes you care about are looked after. There is no obligation for you to include a gift to the Peace Hospice in your Will should you take up this offer – but we hope that you might feel inspired to do so. Any donation is welcome but suggested minimum donations are £75 for a single Will or £120 for a pair of mirror Wills. Should you require more complicated Wills, then the fee is arranged in advance at the discretion of the solicitor. The Hospice needs to raise £3 million of charitable income this year in order to run and develop its services. All the care that we provide to patients and their families is free.
